Tips to Choose a Lash Glue

Lash glue is one of the most significant products. It does not matter how skilled you are at lashing or how best the eyelash extensions are, if your glue is not up to mark then the extensions will not bond perfectly to the natural lashes. This results in poor retention and unhappy clients. Several different elements make sure your glue performs well. It is extremely important to select the best retention lash glue for your level as a lash technician and your room conditions to start with.

  • Choose The Right Glue for Your Lash

You will need to choose a slower drying lash adhesive. Select one that dries too quickly, and your glue will have started to dry before you have even applied the extension to the natural lash. This results in a fragile bond and poor retention.

You will need to think about the humidity and temperature levels of your room and choose glue designed to deliver the drying speed you want in those conditions. Several factors can influence the temperature and humidity of a room. It can differ based on the time of day, time of the year etc. Typically, humidity levels are higher at the end of the day than in the morning! You can use a hygrometer to watch the humidity level where you are working. If there is a considerable change you can use a dehumidifier or humidifier to decrease or increase the humidity to the desired level, or switch glues.

  • Store and care for glue properly

Once opened, keep the glue in a cool, dry room and do not keep it in the fridge. Avoid contact with air where possible by storing in an air-tight container, and do not squeeze the bottle. Shake well for a minute with a glue pin before each use. Your adhesive will need replacing each month if you are a busy lash artist.

If air gets into the bottle of eyelash glue, it will considerably affect the freshness of your adhesive. Exposing adhesive to oxygen will cut down the life of the adhesive. You will see this happens when you see a thick and gummy consistency or the lash glue bottle becomes congested. Keep air from getting into your bottle by burping it with a gentle squeeze after each use. This will help eliminate air bubbles, and you will enjoy a longer shelf life of your glue.
